Can anyone receive an Olympian.org email address?
No, only athletes who have competed in the Olympics can have an Olympian.org address. When you register, an email is sent to the corresponding National Olympian Association. We recognize the importance of support staff and are working on developing an address for this important group.

How do you signup for a free email address?
To register for a free email address, click on "Register" in the "Member Login" area on the left side of the page. Then, fill in the corresponding boxes for the required information. You can forward your mail to any address by filling in the .Forward email to. box with the address that you would like your mail forwarded to. Your mail does not forward if you leave this box blank. An advantage of not forwarding your mail is that your mailbox is very large and has more space and can accommodate larger emails than most other systems.

Can I change my password and forwarding address?
Yes, click on the "Change Information" link on the main page in the "Members Login" Area.

If I cannot remember my password what should I do?
Send an email to help@olympian.org and we will send you your password after verification.

Do I need to type a period with my first name when I register?
No, the system will automatically place a period between your first and second name.

How do I connect my Microsoft Outlook to my Olympian.org Email Address?
First create a new account in your email client. This client can be any POP3/SMTP email program like Outlook, Outlook Express, Thunderbird, etc. When prompted for the outgoing (SMTP) server use mail.olympian.org. When prompted for the incoming (POP3) server use mail.olympian.org. The username for checking your email is you full Olympian.org email address: for instance john.smith@olympian.org. Enter your password into the appropriate spot. You must enable outgoing authentication in your email client. The username/password is the same as the incoming server. All of the other settings can be left at their defaults. Finally, save the changes. You are now ready to send and receive your Olympian.org email through your computer.

When I login to the system, what is my username?
Your user name for the login is your first and last name that you had entered on the registration page with a period between them. An example is john.smith.

I get an error message saying that I am already registered when I try and register, is someone else using my name?
To date we have not found anyone using someone else's name. Normally this occurs because you clicked "Register" more than once on the registration page. Go to the main page and login using your user name and password that you chose. If you are still having a problem, email us at office@olympian.org.

How do I open a large file greater than 6 or 8 Mega Bytes?
If the file does not open properly due to its size when you download it. You can open very large files of even 40 or 50 Mega Bytes by utilizing Microsoft Outlook or Outlook Express.

How do you unblock images in e-mails which have been blocked "for security reasons?"
By default we block these images so that users don't get viruses and/or spyware installed on their computers. If you would like to view the images for individual emails you can click "view unsafe images" which is located above the body of the e-mail. You can also turn this feature off for all e-mails by going into the "Options" icon on the top of the screen. On the next page go to the "Unsafe Image Rules" and you can adjust them accordingly. Press the "Save" button to save your change.

The Olympians Communications Network has been created and is owned by IAMSPORT Holdings Group LLC. Broadcast on OLYMPIAN.ORG the communications service is operated exclusively by IAMSPORT for the expressed use of accredited Olympic Athletes. The communications database and its entire content is owned by IAMSPORT Holdings Group and both its technology and content is legally protected against infringement, copyright and unauthorized use.
